ESMO24 - Geen betere DFS door toevoeging pembrolizumab aan adjuvante chemotherapie bij endometriumcarcinoom, uitgezonderd voor de mismatch-repair-deficiënte tumoren
Bij patiënten met nieuw-gediagnosticeerd hoogrisico-endometriumcarcinoom is pembrolizumab versus placebo in combinatie met adjuvante chemotherapie met of zonder radiotherapie niet geassocieerd met een significant betere ziektevrije overleving. Wel lijkt de subgroep met een mismatch-repair-deficiëntie baat te hebben bij de toevoeging van pembrolizumab aan adjuvante chemotherapie. Deze resultaten van de KEYNOTE-B21-studie werden tijdens het ESMO Congress 2024 gepresenteerd door prof. dr. Toon Van Gorp (Leuven, België). In de adjuvante setting worden patiënten met hoogrisico-endometriumcarcinoom gewoonlijk behandeld met chemotherapie met of zonder radiotherapie met curatieve intentie.
